Foxhunter Park aims to produce performance ponies and horses appropriate for adults and children alike.
Our pony breeding program began after a long search for ponies that were suitable for our children. We were looking for ponies with the ability and temperament to take children to high level competition. After much research we decided to cross our lovely Welsh B and warmblood mares with German Riding Ponies.
The German Riding Pony breed began to develop around 40 years ago. The breeding aim was to produce ponies with movement that is correct, rhythmic, elastic and expressive, with sound temperament and rideability.
German and European Riding Ponies have become a popular and competitive mount for children and adults in Europe and North America in the disciplines of dressage, eventing, jumping and driving.
